I feel so terrible because I haven’t written a post in so long, I thought I’d gotten the habit of blogging months ago, but I guess it didn’t work out. Honestly every time I ever intended to write something “happened” and never finish or even started.
So to give you a short overview of how things are going I have to say… “very busy”. Last fall and holiday season I had lots of great shoots and especially with my new “pet project” that is Kiki LIC Photography. Yes! I’m photographing doggies and cute pets mainly around Long Island City (LIC) together with partner in crime Junenoire.
I always have fun when I work with kids and now photographing the dogs it’s very complementary. I love to do it and I enjoy it a lot and instead of doing a Kids portrait holiday shoot I was focus on my Doggy Holiday shoots and designing tons of cute holiday cards for dogs but of course always taking care of my human adorable clients and their needs.
As you see in the opening image of this post… yes! We’re expecting our first baby boy! Right now I’m 28 weeks pregnant and super thrilled and excited about the whole process and just thinking about what’s coming for us. This stage of my life makes me think about a whole new range of possibilities and believe me you can go crazy. I’m enjoying every step of the way of being almost a mom, my ever growing belly, the cute baby outfits, and always trying to be positive and not think about “what may go wrong” which is the things that all the pregnancy books tell you and that’s why I always skip those and read just about the stage and progress that my baby is doing that’s very exciting (at least for me).
Talking about books, I really have to say that if you’re pregnant you don’t have to read “What to expect when you’re expecting”, after reading a few chapters and skimming around I just didn’t want to read it anymore, it’s full of parts saying what could ever go wrong which is something we shouldn’t focus on at all. This type of books tell you things that you shouldn’t be worry about, do you really need to know about “Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)” if your doctor hasn’t mention anything yet?
Anyways, I definitively want to write more here, and I may orient my content towards photography (beside what I’m doing with work) I can give tips about photography (spanish and english or both?), teaching how to handle the camera, beginner, intermediate and advance techniques and my experience as a new parent.
Let me know what would you like to read about!
