Unboxing the 35mm lens F/1.8G

AF-S DX NIKKOR
35mm f/1.8G

35mm-12

This lens is a very affordable way to get to F/1.8,
I haven’t tried the lens too much yet but so far I can’t complain..The lens overall is lightweight, compact and very fast. On the other hand if you get too close it can cause distortion and it won’t focus but it’s not a big deal, the minimal focal distance is 1ft (0.30m).

It’s very good for low lighting conditions, for the capability to go very wide open in the aperture, but I need to try it in a real life situation.

I wanted to get one of these but my D40x wasn’t completely compatible with the other fixed focal length, and it’s very hard to focus manually. So, finally a lens with Auto Focus for DX.

I bought it at B&H and everything came in excellent conditions very well packed. Here are some pictures that I took in the store while I was testing the lens.

Box

First you’ll find a small box with the soft case and the lens hood.
