The Ebony Hillbillies came on July 25th with a lot of energy and made everybody dance. This was one of my favorite concerts, a lot of laughs, dance and excellent rhythm.

This is one of my favorite story images. Could you tell me what is your favorite part of this story?

I really enjoyed photographing this event.
Go to Ebony Hillbillies‘ website to listen to their music.

I’m three weeks behind and the concerts are better and better each week at Live at the Gantries.
First we had the Beets, then the The Ebony Hillbillies that left everybody asking for more and this week we had Gamelan Orchestra- Yowana Sari that also created a great show.
Enjoy the pictures and post your comments at the end. I’ll be posting the next two shows very soon!
Enjoy The Beets:

Yesterday was the first show of the series Live at the Gantries and it started with nice hot Latin music from Latin Jazz Coalition.

You guys know my main work is photographing kids but I’m always shooting events for Queens Council on the Arts (QCA) and Live at the Gantries is a very special event for me since it was my first official gig three years ago (in 2008) when I started shooting as a professional photographer. It’s fun to remember my first concerts [link] =) And even more pleasant to see my former clients again =)
… And before I start to get emotional I’m just going to show you my peaks from yesterday’s performance =)

Of course kids always steal the show. I love to see them dancing.

…and running…

…and breakdancing too!..

Well sort of.
I can’t resist cute dogs!

Hope to see you guys next Tuesday for another concert at Live at the Gantries!

Hiromi Suda was at the Live at the Gantries two weeks ago. We enjoyed her music and a great sunset.
Next I’ll show a selection of the pictures together with one of her songs:
The song is Chega de Saudade interpreted by Hiromi.
If you want to see the pictures in larger sizes go to the Live at the Gantries photo gallery of Hiromi Suda on flickr.
Visit Hiromi Suda’s official website
Since we didn’t have a show last week, we had a double show this week. On Tuesday we had a dance performance by Robert Royston Dance and Ephrat Asherie, and on Wednesday we had a concert by Earthdriver!
Robert Royston Dance and Ephrat Asherie got everybody dancing hip-hop, breakdance, tango and swing!
Swing!!
And Swing lessons!
Hit to continue!
Live at the Gantries 2009 just started with the Hungry March Band!
They just came from a tour in France and they got everybody dancing at the Gantries.
