A new restaurant is coming to LIC.
The name of the place is Madera – Cuban Grill, it has been under construction for a while and finally we saw the “Opening Soon!” sign on the door.
On their website they say the following:
“Cuba…Land of Romance!
Bringing the romance, flavors, and excitement of Cuba to you, Madera Cuban Grill and Steakhouse will open soon on Vernon Blvd in Long Island City.
We will be serving delicious Cuban Cuisine and the type of tender, Mid-western Steaks you can only find in the finest Steakhouses…and grilled to luscious perfection!

Since we didn’t have a show last week, we had a double show this week. On Tuesday we had a dance performance by Robert Royston Dance and Ephrat Asherie, and on Wednesday we had a concert by Earthdriver!
Robert Royston Dance and Ephrat Asherie got everybody dancing hip-hop, breakdance, tango and swing!

Happy Independence Day!
The fireworks in New York city this year were in the Hudson River and, honestly, I wasn’t expecting to see any, but we were able to go to a friend’s roof in Manhattan (43rd street & 9th ave) and we had the chance to see some nice booms and bangs between the buildings!

Live at the Gantries 2009 just started with the Hungry March Band!
They just came from a tour in France and they got everybody dancing at the Gantries.
